Bio: Stephanie is an Associate Chemist at Valspar, one of the largest global coatings manufacturers in the world. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Gannon University in Erie, PA. When people ask what the most interesting part of her job is she says, “Most people do not realize that there are coatings both inside and outside of cans…The transformation from a sheet of metal into a can that sits on a grocery store shelf takes a variety of companies to make it happen.” Stephanie says that creative thinking, good oral communications skills, time management, being able to work in a team environment, knowledge of basic chemistry, and integrity are important qualities of a good chemist.
When Stephanie is not working in the lab, she enjoys running, reading, and playing with her dog.
