Network Administrators are in charge of installing, configuring, and providing support for an organization’s local area network, wide area network, and internet systems. They monitor the network to make sure it’s always available to users, and troubleshoot any issues. Many different places hire network administrators including government agencies, universities, financial firms, and telecommunication companies. Undergraduate degrees in network administration are widely available and consist of coursework in computer science, computer programming, network systems, systems security, mathematics, and statistics.
