Would you like to share your STEM expertise with middle school girls?
As a mentor, you will have a firsthand opportunity to engage with STEM Stars girls through hands-on STEM learning experiences as well as providing a good example of a woman or minority in a STEM Career. We would love to have you come to share your story and knowledge with our girls during their after school sessions or at a Saturday Academy event.
Mentor Skills & Qualifications:
1. Be ready to share your story and your expertise!
2. Be able to visit with one site at least once. If you are able to visit with the girls more than once, that would be greatly appreciated, but is not required.
3. Be available to come to the after school site between 3pm – 5pm, depending on the school’s STEM Stars meeting time. If you are available for our Saturday Academy, a once a month learning experience, we would love to have you talk to the girls during one of our morning sessions.
